    Unethical practices followed by radiology services - Manipal @Sarjapur by Tamojit Ray:

    My Patient ID is MH006695020. I was advised a CT Scan contrast and underwent test on 11th March 2023. Within 2 hours of leaving the hospital, the marketing officer called me and told senior technician has asked for MRI scan. How come without issuing the prior diagnosis report your team asks for another test. What is the authority of a marketing representative and/or technician to push for a test ? Should not it be the treating physician who should advice test ? This practice is highly unethical and it only zeros down to push sales of service by the hospital and its team. If some tests are required, your team should route it through the concerned physician. Neither the marketing team nor the technician are qualified to propose this. This is against decent medical ethics of any hospital. I would request a fair action on this or we have to go for legal procedures. We would expect you keep up to your goodwill and be trust and not become another money minting place in the racket.

    I went through MRI scan on 17 th March,I have received the scan report without the xray film,I went to the radiography department yesterday at your Sarjapur hospital but they are still trying to retrieve my xray film.

    Hello.
    Pls check the tests carried out for regn no. MH006512638, Kusum Mhatre ysdy.
    We spent Rs.9000/- for a series of blood tests ysdy. Today even after 24 hours her electrolytes report which other labs give in 5 hours is not ready even after 24 hours. What kind of lab service does the hospital run?
    Also the Dr had recommended auto immune encephalitis panel. We were shocked to hear it costs Rs.33,800/- in your hospital and report wil take 15 days. Outside labs charge b/w 18000/- to 24000/- for the same and give report in 3 days. What a shame!

    Hi,

    I had a appointement with Doctor a Manipal Whitefield (ITPL Road) at 9:45 AM. On reaching hospital and as the receptionist was busy chit chatting with her colleagues I mad an online payment. She got furiated over this and ensured my number did not come up.
    I complained on the customer care number as well but with no response till now.

    Very rude staff who doesnt care of patients emergencies.

    Hope Hospital takes some action on these staff members. She gave her name as Nihans which I doubt to be geniuine.

    Manipal Varthur ( previously Columbia Asia ) hospital has returded its performance. We are regular patient since last 5-6 years. We have taken many consultations and received prescriptions , reports on time. Yesterday my wife was sick and somehow managed to organize a tele consultation with Doctor Ramya but due to poor administrations , her prescription did not receive in our email or phone. We did multiple follow up calls , no onw cared to take action and chat to the Dr. coordinator - Miz. Ancia, but no response. Finally, my wife had to stay without treatment whole day. Her health got detoriated and affected my new born baby.

    I seriously object this kind of behaviour. Just for a mere negligence, it can create life threat of a patient.
    Somehow I managed to get the prescription today ( next day ) and now her treatment would start.

    I have come to know that you have taken over AMRI Hospitals in Kolkata. We at Kolkata welcome you to our city and delighted that a professional organization like you has evinced keen interest in healthcare services in our city. As my mother, Smt. Anjali Chatterjee, who is 90years old ,presently undergoing cancer related treatment in AMRI, Dhakuria, you need to take considerate approach by introducing some amount of discount to them . Incidentally, my mother has to be admitted at least once in a month and in the last month she had to be admitted twice and the total amount I had to spend more than or nearly Rs.1,50,000/-. Hope you will take some positive steps so that at least super senior citizens get some relief. In this connection I would like to mention that I cannot take any health insurance for her as there are some age restrictions.

    I am writing about Manipal Hospital Charges for single room charges and Double room. I don’t see the Logic for increasing the fee of Doctor(Rs.96,760 for double room and 1,03,840 Lab charges Rs.5,500 Vs Rs.6,250 OT Charges Rs.1,13,190 Vs.Rs.1,28,625/- Medicines,. Can this incongruous charges be explained?

    Hi Team,

    I am writing this email on behalf of the patient specified in the subject. I am his brother and would like to bring to your attention on the issue which was caused based on hospital oversight.

    Above said patient met with an accident and was admitted in Manipal Hospital Yeshwantpur branch on 13 Jul 2023. Dr. Avinash was involved in the treatment. Based on the examination it was found that the patient was suffering from "Hemiplegia and hemiparesis following nontraumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage affecting right dominant side" all the test, xray, scan were taken and medicines were provided for above highlighted issue and was discharged on 17th Jul 2023 with next step to visit the doctor after 1 week.

    Patient had visited the doctor and informed the doctor that he had pain in left hand also there was swelling. Doctor had advised that it is nothing to worry gradually the pain would go and advised to visit after 2 weeks. After 2 weeks the pain was still existing and doctor still advised that the pain would go.

    As the pain was still existing (17 Aug 23) patient revisited the doctor and he had now advised us to go to ortho and scan the left hand. Post the scan it was found that in the left hand 2 bones have broken and is in worst condition which would needs operation to cure. Doctor had admitted that this was not noticed initially.

    The oversight in the initial stage of treatment has now complicated this issue due to which patient is suffering mentally, physically and financially.

    i want to give complaint regarding theft happens at your doddaballapura hospital, i came for my baby treatment on 22 Oct 2023 around 5:30pm, somebody took my baby leather Jacket, its new jacket & its imported material. i m requesting your staffs to return my asset, but they are telling that its theft from the OPD staffs, they cannot return it.

    There is an issue which happened with us in terms of patient's medical test. Misguided by doctors and TPA team and performed for unnecessary tests which has impactful and non affordable to us, also the medical claim hasn' t reimbursed. It should not be happened with other ones. Please take care of these type of situations to avoid harassment of the patient and his/her care taker. Thanks.

    I booked appointment on line for my wife namely Chetan kumari by 1145 hrs on 13 Jan 2024 as CGHS serving person. She was already under treatment since two months. But at the time of deposing of fees for OPD counter staff charged OPD fees as full instead of CGHS rates. Behave of staff was also very rudely. It is injustice to a patient. Kindly look into and refund fees as paid by me excess

    Had my ankle surgery at Manipal, Sarjapura road on Jan 16th 2024, my implant billing was 75k but the invoice given to me is 44k, when I asked abt the remaining balance invoice, they clearly said handing charges & can't give .

    I and my mother came for treatment in neurology dept, dr neeharika checked and written prescription due emergency dr went suddenly, after that no one gave prescription to me, i called somany time to customer care, and direct contact to hospital ( manipal hospital, Miller's road ) no one response for my call, so next wat to do.

    This is to notify you that Mr Rahul Kumar at the emergency billing reception of Manipal Hospital, Dwarka, New Delhi is misbehaving with me during the admission procedure of my father who is in the emergency
    Need support right now as he and others at the emergency reception have made it into a habit for several years to harass patients and their attendants on some pretext or other. They do not allocate entitled bed to patients and either force to accept rooms that they offer or make attendants wait hours on end for the entitled rooms despite availability of the same. The system for today i.e. 6 April 2024 will show that single-bed rooms are available but they are forcing me to accept triple bed sharing room for my patient who has prostate cancer and being admitted for severe Parkinson's disease and easily contracts infection
    The management of the hospital may not be aware as people generally steer clear of giving in complaints but this being the fifth time of going through the same system of admission process and the entire rigmarole as stated above, things have cone to a head
