BSRTC was created under the statutory acts of the Government of Bihar and became functional in 1950 after the state government nationalized earlier services. In a pioneering move, the corporation has entered into multiple agreements with Gireesh Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd (GIPL) to operate luxury coaches (Mercedes Benz & Volvo) covering cities within the state of Bihar as well as neighbouring states.
Connectivity
BSRTC traverses the length and breadth of Bihar and also connects commuters with West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand. Premium Volvo air conditioned buses ply mostly in inter-state routes. There are eight routes between Bihar-Jharkhand, six routes between Bihar-Chhattisgarh and nine routes between Bihar-Odisha. Nine buses ply on four different routes between Patna and Jamshedpur, Patna and Ranchi, Gaya and Ranchi, and Gaya and Jamshedpur with new routes being added constantly.

महाशय, निवेदन पूर्वक सूचित करना है कि आज दिनांक 21/11/2022 को लगभग 01:40 PM को मैं गाड़ी संख्या BR01P L7545 ( बिहार राज्य पथ परिवहन निगम की बस) में डुमरा - सीतामढ़ी से आगे मुजफ्फरपुर के लिए सवार हुआ । कंडक्टर से भाड़ा देने के कर्म में यह पूछने पर की सभी यात्री को टिकट क्यों नहीं बनाते है । इस बात को लेकर विवाद होने लगा । अंत: मुझे धक्का देकर कंडक्टर के द्वारा बस बाहर कर दिया गया । मेरे द्वारा यह कहने पर की आपकी शिकायत वरीय अधिकारी से की जाएगी तो कहा गया कि सभी नाजायज पैसे लेते है तो कौन किया कहेगा l अनुरोध है कि उचित करवाई की जाए और यदि अन्य कही शिकायत की जरूरत है तो सूचित की जाए l

I boarded Rajdhani Bus from Aurangabad Patna, The bus passengers were shifted from one bus to another. It was told that the bus will go for BHAKPA MALE rally. It gave lots of pain in shifting of luggage and misbehaviour of khalasi. Sorry.
