BSRTC was created under the statutory acts of the Government of Bihar and became functional in 1950 after the state government nationalized earlier services. In a pioneering move, the corporation has entered into multiple agreements with Gireesh Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd (GIPL) to operate luxury coaches (Mercedes Benz & Volvo) covering cities within the state of Bihar as well as neighbouring states.
Connectivity
BSRTC traverses the length and breadth of Bihar and also connects commuters with West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand. Premium Volvo air conditioned buses ply mostly in inter-state routes. There are eight routes between Bihar-Jharkhand, six routes between Bihar-Chhattisgarh and nine routes between Bihar-Odisha. Nine buses ply on four different routes between Patna and Jamshedpur, Patna and Ranchi, Gaya and Ranchi, and Gaya and Jamshedpur with new routes being added constantly.

Complaint regarding deny to allow ride on the bus by PRAMILA KUMARI:

Dear sir,
I am the regular passenger of your buses. Today, Mr. Shrawan has denied to allow me for riding on the bus just because I had left his bus yesterday because of non availability of comfortable seat of that bus and completed my journey by the next bus with informing him properly.
I noticed mis behaviour of that conductor earlier days also with other co passenger.But, his today's behaviour really hurted me and touced me very badly.
I want to inform you that he is the conductor of chunmun travels runs from Patna Gandhi maidan to nawada. It reaches to mithapur bus stop at around 9:00 am.
Kindly register my complaint at take a necessary action regarding this.
Pls note that I am continuously travelling by your buses since 2 years and it's my first complaint with hoping of best response.
Your early action will be highly solicited.

Today After Departure of volvo from Kaushambi Bus Stand Drive and conductor stop bus multiple locations without stopage for non booked passanger for his personal benifit they are not cut tickets in between of travel from Noida expressway to Agra taken 3 long stopage(1.ForFuel Refiling taken 40 Minutes ,2 For Air Refiling taken 30 Minutes For Refreshments taken 1hrs) very worst service of this bus of B.S.R.T.C not expecting that kind of service from B.S.R.T.C this is my first and last travel due that kind of service,Water bottle not provide during my travel from Kaushambi to Lucknow.
