It is Women University that is located at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, India and was recognized as state University. The educational institute was founded by the state legislature in the year 1983 and was baptized after the Goddess Sri Padmavati. The University has earned high reputation across the country and invites students across the country to pursue courses in different discplines.
Presently the University has approximately 3000 students in all disciplines. The University campus spreads over 138 acres of land and is situated in the sub-urban area at Tirumala Hills. The University is funded by the State and UGC. The major aim of the University is to educate and uplift the women of the state and three important regions namely Telangana, Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.
The University is Unitary that comprises 16 departments that futher include around 52 programs as in five post graduate diploma, 16 post graduate, 4 under graduate, 14 M.Phil and 14 Ph.D programs. Apart from these some of the new courses introduced are MBA, Integrated Bio technology course, Bachelor in Physical Education and Bioinformatics and some of the Distance Education Mode.
