N. K. Premachandran is an Indian politician. He is presently the Member of Parliament from Kollam Lok Sabha constituency. He was the former minister for Water Resources in the government of Kerala and was responsible for irrigation, ground water development, water supply and sanitation. He was a Member of both houses of the Parliament of India (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha). He is known for his public speeches.
Premachandran has written a book "Oh Iraq" based on his travel experience to Iraq. He was instrumental in taking up the issue of the safety of Mullaperiyar Dam. He initiated a number of innovative steps in drinking water sector. He began the consultancy wing of Kerala Water Authority called Wascon and mooted the bottled water plant and pipe factory.

*ഹരിതം ബുക്സിനോട്* ചേർന്ന് *'എന്റെ കലാലയം'* എന്ന ആശയത്തിൽ, കലാലയത്തെ ഒരു അലുംനി മെംബർ എങ്ങിനെ നോക്കി കാണുന്നു* എന്നരീതിയിൽ ഇറക്കുന്ന ഈ പുസ്തകത്തെ പറ്റിയുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങൾ:
1) *താൻ പഠിച്ച കോളേജ്, തന്റെ കോളേജ് ജീവിതം, അദ്ധ്യാപകർ, കാമ്പസിലെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ നേതാക്കൾ, പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട വ്യക്തികൾ, തന്റെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾ, കാന്റീനും അവിടുത്തെ ഭക്ഷണവും, സമരങ്ങൾ, അടിപിടികൾ, പ്രണയങ്ങൾ, പ്രണയനഷ്ടടങ്ങൾ, മറ്റു കാമ്പുകൾ, കോളേജ് ഡേ പോലുള്ള ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ എന്നിങ്ങനെ* തന്റെ കലാലയ കാലത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു പരാമർശിക്കണം എന്നു തോന്നുന്ന എന്തിനെ കുറിച്ചുമുള്ള *രസകരമായ അനുഭവങ്ങൾ* പങ്കുവെയ്ക്കാം.
3) *ഒരു കുറിപ്പെഴുതി വാട്സ് ആപ്പിലൂടെ അയക്കാനോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഫോണിൽ വോയ്സായി അയക്കാനോ* കഴിയണം.
4) ഇങ്ങനെ കിട്ടുന്ന കുറിപ്പുകൾ *ആവശ്യമായ എഡിറ്റിങ്ങോടുകൂടിയും വോയ്സുകൾ സാധാരണ ഭാഷയിലാക്കിയും* അവതരിപ്പിക്കും.
5) മുകളിൽ കാണിച്ച *ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ* ഊന്നിനിന്നാവണം ലേഖനം.
6) പുസ്തകത്തിൽ ആ കോളേജിൽ പഠിച്ചിറങ്ങിയ *60-70 പേരുടെ ലേഖനങ്ങളായിയിരിക്കും* ഉൽകൊള്ളിക്കുക.
7) കൂടുതലും *UAE ലുള്ള കോളേജ് ചാപ്റ്ററിലേ മെംബേഴ്സിന്റെ ലേഖനങ്ങൾ* ഉൾപ്പെടുത്താൻ ശ്രമിക്കും. *ഇത് കൂടാതെ മറ്റു രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നവരുടെയും* ലേഖനങ്ങൾ ആവാം.
8) ഒരോ കോളേജിന്റെ പുസ്തകത്തിലും ആ കലാലയത്തിലെ *ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ പ്രധാനാധ്യാപകന്റെയും ആ കോളേജിൽ പഠിച്ച പ്രമുഖ വെക്തികളുടെയും ലേഖനങ്ങളും* ഉൽപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതായിരിക്കും.
9) *ഷാർജ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര പുസ്തകോത്സവത്തിൽ വെച്ച് ഈ പുസ്തകകങ്ങൾ പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടും.* പിന്നീട് ഒരുപക്ഷെ നാട്ടിൽ *അതത് കാമ്പസുകളിൽ വെച്ചും ഈ പുസ്തകം പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കാൻ അവസരം ഉണ്ടായാൽ അതും ചെയ്യുന്നതായിരിക്കും.*

ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു കോളേജിൽ പഠിച്ചിറങ്ങിയ അറുപതോളം അലൂംനി മെംബേഴ്സ് ചേർന്നിറയ്ക്കുന്ന പുസ്തകം ഒരുപക്ഷേ *കേരളത്തിലെ ഒരു കലാലയങ്ങളിലും ഇതുവരെ നടന്നിട്ടില്ലാത്ത കാര്യമായിരിക്കാം.* സ്വന്തം കലാലയത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള, രസകരമായ ഗൃഹാതുരനുഭവങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു *പുസ്തകത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമാകുക എന്ന അഭിമാനം* ചില്ലറയല്ല. *ഒരു എഴുത്തുകാരനായി മാറുക എന്നതും അഭിമാനകരം* തന്നെ. ഇതിലെഴുതുന്നവർക്ക് *എക്കാലവും ഓർക്കാവുന്ന, കാത്ത് സൂക്ഷിക്കാവുന്ന ഒന്നായി ഈ പുസ്തകം മാറും* എന്നത് ഉറപ്പ്.
