I am reading your newspaper for nearly 50 years now and I love ur newspaper. But please publish those comic articles cause they are my favourite comics from childhood.

    problem of drinking water by Anupam Mahapatra:

    my neighbour intentionally cut the ' SAJAL DHARA' project connected my house. After the incident we have been suffering from lack of drinking water since 05th april 2017. I have already made aware step by step GRAM PANCHAYAT, GRAM PRADHAN, BLOCK OFFICE, POLICE STATION, SDO cort for justice. But no fruitful result comes out. So i am begging you of my problem.

    As mentioned in title, that I have submitted the subscription amount via cheque for The Telegraph in the mid of May 2017, but till now I have not received the coupon.
    Always it has been said that the given address mentioned is not found where as each and every I receive the cou0 in same address.
    I am very sorry to say that from next year onwards, I won't subscribe for The Telegraph and will find an alternate solution.

    কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার ৭ম Pay Commission ঘোষণা করেছে প্রায় ৬ - ৭ মাস হোয়ে গেল। এবং যারা Direct Central Government এর অধীন তারা তাদের arrear সহ সব পাওনা গণ্ডা পেয়ে গেছে। এমনকি Pensioner রাও নুতন হারে Pension পাচ্ছেন। কিন্তু কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের অধীনস্ত যে সব Autonomous Bodies রয়েছে বিভিন্ন্য মন্ত্রকের under এ তারা আজও সেই ৬ঠ বেতন কমিশনের হারেই বেতন পাচ্ছেন। তারা নুতন হারে বেতন আজও পায়নি। কবে পাবে তাও জানেনা। এদের মধ্যে অনেকের আবার Union ও নেই। তাই আপনাদের কাছে আমাদের একান্ত অনুরোধ যদি আপনারা অনুসন্ধান করে এই ব্যাপার টা নিয়ে আপনাদের কাগজে দু কলম লেখেন তবে এদের উপকার হয়।

    আশা রাখি আপনারা ব্যাপারটা সহমর্মিতার সঙ্গে বিবেচনা করবেন।

    I am saikat paul on behalf of ‘’ pitulsaha’’ village having resident of village – pitulsaha; p.o – kharui ; p.s – tamluk ; Dist – purba mednipur ;W.B;pin -721134;do hereby inform you that our village having population of 1000 & above does not have proper road connectivity to the main road . The existing road are made of Brick ballast & Moram . but Moram is almost vanished & brick is unsafe; a large amount of water stack on the road. The main road distance from our village is around 3 K.m during rainy season it becomes very tough for children to go their school & normal people to their work; this road is use not only our villages ,children but also two GRAM PANCHYET people ( six school student , teacher , cultivators , business man , other people ,(approx. 300-400) ). THIS is the most important road for two GRAM PANCHYET & other people ; This road is under ZALLAPORISHOD .In order to get proper road facilities we have approached to several authority but nothing transpired well to us till today. Therefore we the villager have no other option to complain.

    In order get the proper connectivity(ROAD) We the villagers humbly request you to kindly accord your sanction for construction of concrete all weather road to our village for which we shall forever remain grateful to you .

    We the villagers are awaiting for your quick action .
