Respected Sir/Madam,
I had found a property on your website, listed under an owner named Dhananjay. Apparently this person has been posing as an owner of a residence at Greenwoods CHS society, Chakala, Andheri (East), Mumbai. He has been putting it up for sale on your portal and running a con since the past two years. This I found out through the office at Greenwoods CHS society. The original owners have not been in the country since the past few years and have not put it up for rent either. However, "Dhananjay" had put up this property on rent for INR 18,000 per month. This person asked for an advance booking confirmation token of INR 8,000 in order to confirm my booking and for him to come down to Mumbai to show the property. I had a telephonic conversation with him, where he said that he was transferred to Gurgaon and had multiple booking requests. I found that understandable and agreed to pay the token amount. I understand it was somewhat my fault that i completely trusted him and took for granted that your portal would have ensured a background check on the owner and his listing, further leading up to this mess.

Being a well reputed and foremost national portal for property rental and sale service, I would prefer not to hold you partly responsible for this situation; provided I’m guaranteed your help and assistance in resolving this issue as soon as possible in whatever way. I had a word with one of your customer care executives regarding this matter and was denied any sort of help or assistance. Being a mediator between a buyer and seller; it is your professional and moral responsibility to ensure a faithful, reliable and legally authentic transaction in order to at least to avoid such mishaps. Refusing to be of any assistance in such situations can only be considered as supporting such fraudulent activities. I am not the only person to be a victim of this scenario. There have been multiple cases over the past 2 years, all of which have been recorded.

I have currently filed a case at the MIDC police station. I’m attaching the entire conversation thread as well as the FIR report with this mail. I expect some cooperation from your behalf. Failing to do so, I will be forced to take this up on all major social medias. An outcome of which, is not viable to either of the parties involved
