Passanger facility is very poor at gate nos 107,108 ,105 n 106. Heavily crowded with not much of sitting facility for passanger. The area is not sufficient for 4 to 5 gates. Senior citizens like me made to stand for nearly 45 minutes before boarding. It looks like crowded bus station

I want to praise two people who found me just before I left HYD for Kochi on Mon., 16/10/23. I had left my computer and cords at the security scanner and didn't realize it. Shankar Rao (cow) and Alwal Reddy (uh) together went to extreme measures to learn what flight I was on, locate me in the HYD waiting area and return my device to me just minutes before I boarded my plane for Kochi! They are to be highly commended and rewarded for such exemplary service. I cannot thank them enough. Please assure them that you have received this grateful feedback from me.

Sub: Syed Afsar, S/o Late Syed Ghouse – Najeebunnisa Begum, D/o Syed Afsar, R/o Kishan Bagh, Hyderabad – Passengers of Flydubai Flight No.FZ0435 landed at GMR Airport, Hyderabad at about 2 A by Syed Afsar:

    (0 of 5)

Kind attention is invited to the subject cited.

I submit the following few lines for kind perusal and immediate consequential action against the designated Custom Officer and connected staff.

That after performing Umrah pilgrimage myself and my young Medico doctor Najeebunnisa Begum boarded connected Flydubai flight from Dubai around 10.20 P.M. IST, the said flight landed at around 2.00 A.M. IST on 15-4-2024.

Soonafter alighting from the flight all the passengers were moving towards exit gate along with their baggage. While all the passengers allowed to exit from the airport launch comfortably without any hurdles my daughter was detained by airport staff and forcibly taken to a baggage screening point. Thereafter, volley of irrelevant, irrational, unwarranted and uncalled for queries were raised. I quote few of the questions hurled at my daughter as hereunder:

    1. From where you are coming?
    2. Why you had gone to KSA?
    3. Are you working there?
    4. What are the places you had visited?
    5. What is the relationship with those persons?
    6. How much gold you brought?
    7. Where you had hidden gold?
    2

The barrage of questions asked at a stretch rattled my daughter, at that point of time she was mentally broken and likely to be collapsed on account of intruding and intimidating behaviour of the staff posted there. I was under the impression that my daughter was following me to exit from the launch, however when I looked back to my utter shock I saw my daughter surrounded by men in livery. I rushed towards her and enquired with my daughter the reasons for detaining her. She cried a lot and told me that daddy I have been treated like a criminal. Also informed that the officers hurled vituperatives at her. She further informed me that the designated staff forcing her to admit that she had smuggled gold in her baggage. On her repeated denial they threatened her of dire consequences. At that point of time I beseeched the designated officers with folded hands to unwrap the baggage and search everything to find out the truth. While continuing their racial slur against us the officers opened the baggage and conducted threadbare examination of the baggage. The said search lasted for over two hours after thorough examination with magnifying glass they find nothing as they apprehended. It reminds me of a famous adage “excavation of a mountain yielded a small rat”. The right wing indoctrinated fanatic officers having failed in their machination and conspiracy to ruin the career of a young Medico on unfounded truth allowed her to exit.

Respected Sir, on one hand our P.M. wanted to made India a force to reckon with as Vishw Guru, encourages investors to invest in India. On the contrary the muslim biased custom officers literally watered down the initiatives and efforts of our Prime Minister. Because Airport is a place where foreigners and top business persons visit on daily basis. If they countered such biased officers what will be the impact on international travellers. Such discriminatory behaviour of staff will bring disrepute to the nation and discourages investment.

Honourable Sir, it is expedient to bring to the kind notice that I am a law abiding tax payer of the country and living in the largest democracy of the world. Free and unbridled travel is my fundamental right. In the case of Menaka Gandhi Vs UOI the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India held that ‘right to travel is the fundamental right of Indian citizen’. Those infringing the fundamental rights shall necessarily be prosecuted under relevant laws. This judgement was passed against the most powerful P.M. of India, Smt.Indira Gandhi.

    3

Sir, please let me educate what are the duties of Custom Officers. I agree they have every right to check the baggage in case of any type of apprehensions. I have genuinely no objection for that. But in what capacity under whose orders these Custom Officers asked pricking questions. Sir, you know young ladies have numerous gender related issues, most of them are in monthly periods, have to answer nature call frequently, their physical constitution is seemingly fragile, mentally fearful. What the hell your Custom Officers accomplished in torturing a young brilliant Medico.

Soonafter arriving at home she cried inconsolably and have gone into deep trauma. She had made up her mind soonafter completing her studies she will migrate to a country where rule of law is seemingly applied. I am compelled to present an unpleasant statement here that the right wing indoctrinated Custom Officers left an indelible imprint on a tender heart and brilliant mind. These headstrong and audacious perhaps drawn solace at the suffering of a young Indian. But virtually they hurt the Baharat Mata perhaps she is shedding blood tears.

Sir, if you have taken oath on Constitution, it is your bounden duty to protect the fundamental rights of law abiding citizens, similarly to brought to book all the concerned Custom Officers responsible for subjecting a young girl to an excruciating pain.

In view of the facts narrated above I prayed to suspend the officers concerned immediately pending inquiry. If my charges found to be not true, I may be hanged by lamp post in front of Charminar, Hyderabad.

As evidence live videos of the torture will be submitted at the time of inquiry. Also more facts will be urged during inquiry.

Soliciting an early action in the matter. In absence of any consequential action I am compelled to knock the doors of Court to elicit justice.

    Yours sincerely,
