    My self and my wife booked a travel package to Mata Vaishno Devi temple from October 10, 2022 to Oct 12, 2022. We were told that the Thomas Cook representative would meet us at the Jammu airport. But no one was available when we landed there. That person had contacted me earlier the night before our start from Hyderabad to Jammu, and told me to contact him on arrival at Jammu airport. He rather lately informed then that the prepaid SIM would not work in Jammu due to security reasons. Luckily I had a postpaid SIM with me, but even that did not work throughout my stay in Jammu. Therefore, on arrival at Jammu airport, as we could not find the representative Mr.Nadeem and since my postpaid SIM did not work, we contacted Nadeem with great difficulty by borrowing phone from a stranger at the airport and talked to Nadeem. He then gave the number of the cab driver who was to take us to Katra from Jammu. Finally we reached Katra and were put in Hotel Grand Sharan. To compound our owes, the hotel had the worst WiFi connection, so most of the time we could not even make use of the whatsapp app call or msg facility. It was as if we were cut off from the outside world communication. And the hotel room was not good either. There were cockroaches in the bed room and toilet.
    Overall, I never expected this type of service from a reputed company like Thomas Cook. I am sure that we would have been better off if we had gone there on our own. I shall never go to Thomas Cook for travel package in future.
