    Dear Sir,

    Sub: Grave misconduct and refusal of service by DTDC agent.Sohna, Gurgaon.
    Refer Docket no.UT18772143.

    I booked my parcel from Moradabad on 16th August. That could easily reach me by 20th by the professional services standards of DTDC. That was my expectation.My meeting with the client was at noon at Sohna, Gurgaon. Which is also the destination of my courier packet. However, the packet remained at Maruti Udyog for about a day or so and did not move.

    Attached here are the receipt and packet pics.

    I tried calling their telephone no. in vain. I took refuge to my local DTDC agent in Central Park, Flower Valley, Sohna, Gurgaon. To only share with me the number of the agent in Maruti Udyog. She did share the no. once with me but those were the same ones I had been trying for a day. My lan was to get it picked by my acquaintance or a porter (local courier service in Gurgaon) and that would have reached me by noon at the time of my meeting.

    No idea what she thought of it. Perhaps she thought I needed her service or anything. Ms. Deepika who runs this service here.She kept telling me that they cannot support us in this way and they are not allowed to share numbers and that we do so much for you, cant send my boy for a single packet, what do u think we are here at your service, etc. etc. I was thinking she will be ok in a while and then i will again put my point across that i just need to pick that packet myself and will not disturb her. But by the end of tenth minute her arrogance, words and tone were beyond my patience. I said, "Why r u taking this personally? Pls. hear me out. you don't need to raise your voice". She again shouted back at me. By now I was horrified and had to give her back. So I raised my voice and said I only need the branch valid no. where i can talk. can't you just do that? and kept the phone down.

    Next second her husband called back and says, How dare u speak to my wife like that? I will see how you get your packet? " Kar lo kya karogi"?

    This was to my utter dismay and disappointment. I had to get ready for my meeting now without my packet in hand. The client was leaving for Turkey. It was an order worth 5.6lakh.

    On top of it the Moradabad and Gurgaon DTDC guys are now asking me to say sorry to her. Or she will not deliver my packet. They had been requesting her to do it.

    Is that the criterion of DTDC service to first humiliate a client and then ask them to say Sorry to deliver their parcel? That too when they say it to the whole world around in DTDC.

    I will not only discourage my friends and relatives to not use this service any more but also have formed my strong opinion by now that these people only know how to misbehave rather than to diligently deliver their duties.

    Would it be possible that we have more professional people taking up the franchise? So that the customer does not have to suffer?
