Namaste. Shraddha Foundation is a socio-religious organization with a mission to promote and propagate Hindu religion and culture by helping individuals perform as well as understand religious ritual- practices, ancient Hindu scriptures, philosophy, and Para- sciences. We are working to uplift human values and conditions through selfless service and, are in service of people (pilgrims) who come to this gateway to God, Haridwar, and Rishikesh to take a dip in the holiest of the holy river Maa Ganga.
Haridwar and Rishikesh are the major religious centers of Hinduism where roughly five crore people visit annually for various religious and cultural activities. We serve them through our two broad projects- Sanskar Prakalp and Seva Prakalp. Under Seva Prakalp, we are running several programs of Seva at Harkipauri like providing Free Medical Care, Food for the poor and destitute; Free legal service, Maintenance of Gaushala, and Cleaning of Ganga Ghats, etc. We are also managing Shri Peepleshwar Mahadev, an ancient temple of Lord Shiva at Harkipauri.
Haridwar and Rishikesh generate close to 20 tonnes of plastic waste as untreated waste and litter on a regular day, which may generate more than thrice this amount of plastic waste during melas, yatra and festivals. We are running a sustained movement against the use of plastic which has become a scourge to religious places and a major source of pollution to Maa Ganga.
We are running these programs with the support of large-hearted, religious organizations- persons like you and looking to raise funds to help us pay them.
