90 lakh EPFO Pensioners are suffering to make both ends meet for a square meal for self and spouse with meagre pension of Rs. 500 to 3000/- pm and their living expetency is not much. EPFO playing escaping tactics by filing repeated SLPs and RLPs and showing absorbant expenditure on the exchequer and now they have adopted a new technique of filing a Revision/Review Petition of SC's own judgement, which was delivered in favour of Pensioners. Some charitable pensions, such as BPL Pension, Caste-wise pension, Farmers' Pension/cash transfers etc by State/Central Govts and our Political class are getting more pension and salaries despite the truth that they are financially sound according to their declarations, without contributing a single paise to the EPS fund and enjoying all most all the facilities free-of-cost for them and their families also. Our Hon'ble PM, who implimented OROP, has also kept this issue in pending after promised for a minimum enhcnacement of EPFO Pension in presence of Madadm Hema Malini, Hon'ble MP and NPA President some months back. If somebody becomes a victim to a rivalry, Riots, natural calamity or accident on road or air, they are being granted a hefty lumpsum amount as a relief together with an employment or some other comfortable, whereas these 90 lakhs pensioners have contributed considerable amount to Pension Scheme from their hard earned amount from 20 to 35 years of service and most of their are paying tax also on pension. Since they are sufferings are far beyond expression in words with small amount of Rs. 500 to 3000/- pm, besides medical complications due to old age. All Sr. Citizens are our forefathers and they are not supposed to be lived for a further decade or more. One can easily assess their plight for a square meal for self & spouse besides medical and other expenses. I would request you to kindly take up an investigation into this matter and as soon as possible, please try to help all these helpless Sr. Citizens, who deserve some descent living at the dusk of their lives. Our Hon'ble SC was kind enought to open for hearing a Terriorist hanging case during mid-night hours, turned a deaf ear to the voews of 90 lakh pensioners and listing of the case for hearing is being postponed contiously. JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED (Hundred of Sr. Citizens died during the last 5 years without having a livable and degnifiried pension in their favour).
May God bless you and grant vigour to fight for the rightful pension to these 90 lakh pensioners.
