    Dear Sir,

    I am Muthamizhselvan (S/O K.S. Kaliyamoorthy) from Ambiga Sugars, Pennadam, Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu. We are using New Holland tractor since 2013 for our own agriculture purpose and facing lot of issues since we bought and there is no proper support / cooperation from Gobi Kannan Tractors, Cuddalore. The issues and communication with dealer is discussed in detail below;

    CONCERNS WITH TRACTOR:

    Crushing /Milling Sound observed from grown:

    Crushing or milling sound observing since day one of purchase and it was reported immediately to the dealer but they said it is a normal sound of this model.
    We had a doubt and wanted to confirm with other tractors of same model but unfortunately they don’t have any other tractors at that time of purchase and the situation made us to accept the vehicle.

    The sound which is coming from grown, it is irritates the driver while driving and it is more than the engine sound.

    To rectify this issue we haven’t shown the tractor to any other mechanics since we had strong belief on your service engineer & Dealer Gobi Kannan. If we could have shown or discussed with other than New Holland mechanics the issues could have settled down long back.


    Clutch:

    Clutch issue also observed since beginning and whenever we report to dealer, they just adjust and said it is working well. Likewise, we did thrice and by the time the clutch plate completely worn out within 1250 Hrs running. It is very less utilization for this tractor compare with any other brand tractors available in market.

    The tractor mostly (around 80%) utilized for rotator purpose only, where the requirement of clutch is less and hardly the clutch pressed during operation.

    Remaining around 20% of utilization for other purposes like cultivator and load pulling.


    When we updated the case to dealer they said it is very normal for this tractor and there are tractors where the clutch plate changed below 400 hrs.

    Compare with other tractors like John Deer, used mostly for rotatory baler where clutch is very frequently used while running but it is running more than 5000 Hrs whereas New Holland tractor is not even meeting 10% john deer clutch quality/utilization.



    We have taken the tractor to the showroom for rectifying the clutch issue and tried our best to explain the case with dealer but they couldn’t listen and they have not responded properly for our queries / concern. They denied to do the service with the service warranty and finally we have paid completely from our hand (Bill attached).

    Further, we have taken up the issue to Mr. Prakash (Service Engineer from New Holland), he visited our place and checked the tractor completely. He agreed that the issue associated with clutch plate only and he promised to help us to claim the amount what we paid for repairing to Dealer Gobi Kannan. But till now we didn’t get any communication from service engineer about claim and the issue persist with tractor.

    Alignment of front tyre:

    Alignment issue were observed during first free service itself but the mechanic tried to rectify the issue but it got increased and both the tyres were worn out completely within 450 Hrs. It is very very minimal usage compare to any other tractors. We have used only in fields and not in highways.



    OBSERVATION FROM CUSTOMER (OUR) SIDE:

    We have very wide experience in handling tractors and used many other brands of tractors since 1994. Also I am qualified Mechanical Engineer and knows better about the automobile and tractor functions.

    Whatever the problems we are facing with New Holland tractor like listed, we never observed such issues in any of our previous tractors, and even we had one 25 years old tractor also. Whereas your New Holland tractor started troubling us since beginning in various routes.

    FEEDBACK ABOUT M/S. GOBI KANNAN TRACTORS:

    When we bought the tractor, dealer promised to open a service center at our nearby town Virudhachalam. But they are doing very limited services like oil service and small adjustments. They don’t appoint any qualified or trained mechanics at Virudhachalam.

    For every small issue they are asking us to bring the tractor to Cuddalore which is very far from our village around 150km by two-way. They mostly try to avoid us and response is very very poor to the customers.
    When we complaint about grown sound, the dealer and Service engineer asking us to pay in advance for repairing.

    We are trying a lot to reach the higher management of New Holland Company since 2016 but these people were dissolves all our communications and they were not giving us any such opportunity to approach New Holland higher people.

    It is clearly shown the people from New Holland (Service Engineer) and the dealer Gobi

    Kannan has very good understanding and simply ignores our complaints.


    DEMAND AND SUGGESTION:

    Kindly take a note of our complaints and try to rectify in future versions of New Holland tractors. This was our main objective since beginning but the dealer is not allowing us to reach New Holland technical team.

    We request you to send your technical team to investigate our tractor to know and rectify the issues but we don’t want anyone from Gobi Kannan tractors team because we had very bitter experience with the entire team.

    Kindly give a proper training to all your mechanics employed by your dealers, because most of them are not knowing anything and they become service engineers. Instead resolving the issue, they create new problems.

    We expect your swift response and permanent solution on above said queries and it is burdening us mentally. The issues we are facing continuously and it is forcing us to write mail.

    We don’t want to highlight the same through any public Medias and expecting permanent solution from your side and I believe strongly that you will respond and respect my mail.
