I had given my Lenovo A7000a mobile for servicing last Saturday, 31/Oct/2015. When I enquired about how long it would take to service/replace my touchscreen (under warranty), I was told that it would take up to a week, and that I will receive an SMS once it is ready. I waited a week and am yet to hear from the service center regarding the status of my phone. The number listed in the job sheet is either permanently busy or there is no response.
"Service" is not only the actual repair work done, but includes the mechanism by which the service center engages with Lenovo customers all through the service experience. So far I have been kept guessing about the status of my phone. Just to highlight this point, visit a"local" (not company-authorized) repair shop/center, and you'll be amazed at the speed of response and actual turnaround time you get! Any day better than a so-called authorized service "partner". For sure.

My Lenovo A706 purchased in Feb 15 and the touch screen broken while sitting kept in pant pocket. Which was taken to Service centre , Rohini , Delhi on 6th NOv 2015. the Ser,Cent ppl told the part to be get frok bangalore main centre. on 21.11.15 I got a call from Ser.cent that part received. I got changed the screen, I checked there and the upper portion of screen touch was not working, so ser.cent told me to leave the mobile for a weeks time to intend another screen. MY question is if the part is original why it is not suitable in the mobile ? wish to check whether they are using original one or local one. Whether they ordered a screen from Bangalore centre or not ?
