With a motto of “Take me from Darkness into Light”, TikaManjhi Bhagalpur University was established in the year 1969 and is a Public University that is approved by UGC. The University is situated in Bhagalpur and is names after TilkaManjhi, the famous freedom fighter. The educational platform was originally in the year 1960 with its local colleges being associated to Patna University.
Over the period of time the University has diversified its academic platform and has many modern courses in its academic gamut to provide a platform of higher learning to more and more students not only from the state but also from the neighboring places. Its campus is structured over 264 acres of land and offers a lush green area.
