It has been pioneered in the field of Halogen Lamps in India in September 1981. The commercial production of halogen lamps began at Bhosari , Pune. The Company had a range of Copier Lamps, Infrared Lamps. Due to the only manufacturer of halogen lamps in India , it had been chosen by major customers. The ability to design and develop new lamps in a short span of time and manufacture them economically are the major strengths.To develop Pulsed Xenon and CW Krypton Lamps for Laser Pumping the company being awarded and received the National Award for excellence in R & D from Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India in December, 1991.
