Spread over an area of 100 acres, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is located on the Aravali range in New Delhi. It was established in the year 1976 although it was placed in the Rajya Sabha on September 1, 1965 by the then Education Minister, Mr M.C. Chagla.
With over 7300 students from all over the world and over 500 faculty members, the university is doing extremely well and has got recognition worldwide. It offers numbers of courses and provide several facilities to the students as well as the faculties including accommodation, food etc. The surrounding of the campus is also replicated in an incorporated, interdisciplinary approach in teaching and research. Each individual at the university struggle hard to excel in his/her own respective field. It is a place where academically and socially, a person can express his/her views.
