The Chandigarh Electrical Department is established on 2 May 1967. it is very responsible for Transmission and distribution of power supply up to consumers and continuous power supply available to each Dist of Chandigarh.the peak demand of UT electricity department has touched 323 mw on dated 24 May 2010 which was met from different central and state generating stations.Chandigarh electrical generating capacity is very powerful.At present the Chandigarh electrical station is receiving to 51% of its power though Mohali and 9% in Dhulkote and 40% in Nalagarh.its has a transmission network which comprises of one NO. 220 kv sub station at Kishangarh Manimajra and 66 kv sub stations.at present The Chandigarh electricity Department in 197931 consumers which include 1,69,288 domestic consumers 24,619 commercial consumers. it provided full electricity and power of Chandigarh Peoples.

Called the available numbers on internet but none of them answered the call, whom to call and complaint about the power cut....If you guys don't want to help us then why do you even provide any number anywhere.. it seems that the gov is taking care of this issue so well that chandigarians are happyily awake in nights....

Dear Administration,
I am a resident of Manimajra area, recently we are facing frequent long power cuts here. Temperature is already too high these days how will someone stay at home with these power cuts.
You are kindly requested to look into this matter and if for some reason you have to implement these power cuts at least plan it properly. This is not the way to manage things. Implement short power cuts if it's so necessary to you.
Hope you will look into this matter soon,.

I live in house no 1056, Sector 20-B, Chandigarh. The electricity wire coming from pole serves 12 houses. So, there is much load on single wire. It catches fire often. There are joints in wire which are present in my house and below the joints, one A.C. is installed and I park my car also there. So, there is always danger of big mis-happening. Today on 11.7.17, the wire caught fire at 7.20 AM again. The repair men of elect deptt says that they are employees of contractor. So, J.E. Sh. Jasvinder Singh (Mob 98886-02124) may be requested to provide two wires, one wire to serve 6 house and second wire to serve other 6 houses. Kindly look into the matter and do the needful.

For Electricity Complaints in Chandigarh you have mentioned only 2 nos of SDOs viz 8054104501 and 8054104506. In Electricity Department of UT Chandigarh there are 10 SDOs of Opearation. Either you mention here all 10 nos of SDOs with their area of operation or you delete these 2 nos from your website. Due to this misinformation on your website all Chandigarh Electricity complaints are received on these 2 nos which creates problem for the public as well as these 2 SDOs. It is requested to correct the information on your website at the earliest.

The Electricity Complaint toll free nos mentioned on your web page has contact nos of only 2 SDOs viz 8054104501 and 8054104506. However in Chandigarh Electricity Department there are 10 SDOs. Either you mention contact no of each SDO with their respective area of operation or you delete these 2 nos i.e 8054104501 and 8054104506 from your website. This misinformation on your website is creating problems for consumers and their complaints could not be redressed timely. This complaint was earlier also lodged on your website. However no concrete action has been taken by you till date. It is once again requested to do the neeful at the earliest failing which I shall file complaint against your website in Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum
