Bartaman Patrika is Bengali daily newspaper in West Bengal, India. This is the second-most widely read Bengali newspaper in India after Anandabazar Patrika. It is published from Kolkata by Bartaman Pvt. Ltd. it was started in December 1984 by Barun Sengupta. The paper is prints in four other simultaneous editions from Siliguri, Burdwan, Malda and Midnapore. So, I was reading your newspaper online as I felt Bartaman writes better than others and its reports are more informative and mature. But,your site is so so so worse it is very difficult to access.     Subject: Disruption of Boat-Communication between Raninagar Ghat, Chakdaha, Nadia and Khayramari Ghat, Jirat (Balagarh P/S), Hoogly due to demolition of footbridge constructed by bamboo and mud-path.



    Honble Sir,

    Very sorry to inform you that the boat-communication between Raninagar Ghat, Chakdaha, Nadia and Khayramari Ghat, Jirat (Balagarh P/S), Hoogly is being disrupted due to demolition of a footbridge constructed by bamboo, complying with the direction of BDO, Chakdaha, as reported by Khayramari Ghat Authority (Mobile No. 7699195714).

    I, Dr. Amit Kumar Chakrabarty, Assistant Professor in Commerce of Chakdaha College,(Kalyani University) is a daily passenger of Katwa to Chakdaha via Jirat Station (about 200KM, up+down) through the above mentioned river-path, suffering too much due to that obstruction in the ongoing Examination (BA, B.Sc, B.Com.,Part-II, Kalyani University) and rainy season. Every day I feel uncertainly to attend my emergency assignments in schedule time. Not only that communication disruption is a problem of all types of common people of that two districts who compels to use this boat service for their livelihood daily.

    Administration may feel any positive reason in favour of demolition of that footbridge, but it should also have the duty of administration to ensure the sooth communication between two districts through that river-path, Raninagar Ghat, Chakdaha, Nadia and Khayramari Ghat, Jirat (Balagarh P/S), Hoogly.

    In addition, I would also like to mention in this context that the miserable condition of the mud-path adjacent to the bank of river (West and East side) especially in rainy season.

    So, I humbly request you to take necessary steps to ensure the sooth communication between Raninagar Ghat, Chakdaha, Nadia and Khayramari Ghat, Jirat (Balagarh P/S), Hoogly on urgent basis. Looking forward to your active cooperation.
