NTA CUET stands for National Testing Agency Common University Entrance Test. It is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs offered by central universities, deemed universities, and other participating institutions in India.

The CUET UG exam is a computer-based test (CBT) and is conducted in multiple sessions over a period of two months. The exam is divided into three sections:

Section I: Language I
Section II: Language II
Section III: General Test

The Language I and Language II sections will test the candidate’s proficiency in English and Hindi, respectively. The General Test section will test the candidate’s knowledge of Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and English.

The CUET PG exam is also a CBT and is conducted in multiple sessions over a period of one month. The exam is divided into two sections:

Section I: Core Subjects
Section II: Optional Subjects

The Core Subjects section will test the candidate’s knowledge of the subject they have chosen to study at the PG level. The Optional Subjects section will test the candidate’s knowledge of two other subjects of their choice.

The CUET UG and PG exams are conducted in a multiple-choice format and each question carries one mark. The minimum qualifying marks for the CUET UG exam are 45% for General Category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/PWD candidates. The minimum qualifying marks for the CUET PG exam are 50% for General Category candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

The CUET scores will be used by participating institutions to shortlist candidates for admission to UG and PG programs. The weightage given to the CUET scores will vary from institution to institution.
