The Maulana Azad Medical College established in 1959. It is situated in old Delhi but as more modern as new Delhi. The college campus includes three hospitals named as LokNayak Hospital, GB Pant Hospital and the Guru Nanak Eye Centre. A part from studies, college also focuses on some extra activities like cine club, yoga classes, annual day celebration etc.The primary objective of the college is to produce competent doctors, specialist and super specialist.Extending medical support to the local authorities for health care programs is one of the main focus areas of this college. Pursuance of objectives of medical education by improving the course contents, continuing education and strengthening of research activities is what they are working on.
