Maitreyi College is a component College and learning of Delhi School, was established in 1967 by Delhi Management. The College and learning group is extremely pleased to keep the name of Maitreyi, who was a prestigious pupil of the vedic period. Maitreyi, the spouse of sage Yajnavalakya, select information over life belongings, when requested by her spouse to choose between the two; the conversation between Maitreyi and Yajnavalakya in Brihadaranyaka Upanishad reveals Maitreyi as a motivated lady, making a considered decision for self understanding through information. It has been their purpose to incorporate these principles into the content of our education and learning system which is a mix of the best of custom and modernity. College has also started Post Graduate student Degree in Nanotechnology, the first such course in Delhi School.
