The Institute of Home Economics started in the year 1961 by a Registered Co-operative Society. It is premier college of University of Delhi located in South Delhi. Earlier it offered only two year program in home science but now it provide both graduate and post graduate level of courses. There are also intranet and Internet facilities available to the students. They are having highly qualified and experienced faculty have helped establish the institute as a leading center for women’s education.The college also offers Post graduate Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition and in Health and Social Gerontology. Located in sylvan surroundings in the heart of South Delhi, the college is right on the metro route map.

I am Neelam Wadhwa (maiden name: Mangal). I used to be your student for Food and Nutrition.
I did BSc Home Science from your college in 1989 and Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition in 1990. I finished my training from AIIMS in 1990 and worked as Dietitian in Springdale's hospital in Rohini, Delhi. I also worked in a Health club in Kamla Nagar as Manger and Dietitian, in 1991, I got married Patiala, Punjab where later on I worked as a Dietitian in Amar hospital.
I moved to Ontario, Canada in 2000 Where I upgraded my studies. I obtained my new license in 2007 as a Registered Dietitian to work as Dietitian in Ontario, Canada. I further perused my studies to get license as Certified Diabetes Educator. I gained experience in Canada by working in Long Team Care setting with senior population, Hospital setting with their Diabetes Education Centre and currently working for Community care Dietitian. I really want you to thank you IHE for helping me in establishing my identity.
I am writing this e-mail to get your permission about the following project:
I have been asked by on one of the religious organizations "Hare Krishna Group" to provide Vaishnav’s recipes for the community members. I am planning to start a website. I am wondering, if I may use the diet manual recipes by modifying it to Vaishnav's recipes? Thanks to our professors, Mrs. Seema Puri, Mrs. Jain, Mrs. Gupta and Mrs. Reiki for all their support.
