Incorporated in 1971, Unitech Ltd is in the business of Real Estate, Power Transmission and Hospitality This is in continuation of our Notice dated 06.11.2023 whereby the requests for change of option from Refund to Possession were invited as per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court vide its orders dated 03.11.2023 whereby the Hon’ble Court had given one time opportunity to the Homebuyers to change their options from Refund to Possession by15.12.2023.
The Company has received a total of 1,802 unique emails from the Homebuyers with requests for change of options from Refund to Possession. Of these, 644 emails have been received from the Homebuyers who were already registered for Possession. Further, 991 emails have been received from homebuyers who have changed their options from Refund to Possession. Incidentally, 138 emails have been received from Homebuyers of Greater Noida based already abandoned project (wherein the Lease itself had been cancelled), in which case the full amount stands refunded. It may be noted that the requests for change of option from Refund to Possession in the case of Homebuyers who have already received full refund cannot be entertained as these are already closed cases. There is a data mismatch in respect of 07 emails. In addition to the above, 120 emails have been received after 15.12.2023.
