Anandabazar Patrika started as an evening daily newspaper on March 13, 1922 on the day of Holi (a Hindu religious spring festival celebrated in India and around the world). Its popularity increased so much so by 1954 that the Press Commission declared Anandabazar Patrika, the largest circulated newspaper in India published from one location.
ABP offers extra supplements like Prastuti on alternate Mondays, Kajer Bazar on Tuesdays Patrika on Saturdays and Rabibashoriyo on Sundays. Anandabazar Patrika publishes two editions i.e., Calcutta (now Kolkata) and Mumbai. The total readership of Anand Bazar Patrika is about 72, 95,000, according to the National Readership Survey 2006. Its total readership in Calcutta is over 30, 60,000. Together with Mumbai-Kolkata editions, the ABP’s readership reaches up to 12, 77,801.

Hello,
I am a resident of mira road, mumbai. I use to get your newspaper regularly from a local vendor. Initially it was good but after a few days the vendor started charging us more than the published price and we did not get it regularly.
I would like to subscribe the paper for my family to read directly (the Calcutta edition) from your office so that we get the paper regularly.

On 6th October, a couple of Bengali editors,artists, actors and other stalwarts from the creative fields will be holding an evening of discussions and book readings of the late Bengali writer Saradindu Bandopadhyay (creator of detective Byomkesh Bakshi). My father (the youngest and only surviving son of the author) and I will be talking about the author's personal life. It would be wonderful if Anandbazar Patrika covered the event. Hi. I used to get Anandabazar Patrika regularly from my local vendor. But after the covid situation and lockdown started in March 2020 the vendor says newspapers are not being delivered due to lack of railway services. However, it seems untrue as all essential services are business as usual now.
