Since the inception of our manufacturing unit at Domjur, Howrah, West Bengal, we have been using ‘ FAG’ brand bearing with our Pumps procuring from your nominated dealer “M/s Premium Bearing” and have been steadily using the same for many years without any major complaint but recently we are facing numerous problems with using this bearing procured from said dealer seems inferior material due to facts described below
1) While procuring the bearing from the markets it is noticed that Packaging of bearings is hand –wrapped with local plastic while in earlier case it was properly machine sealed air packed as per standard practice follow by the reputed manufacturer.
2) It is also noticed that scratches are present on all over the surface of the bearings and also the ‘Type No’ and the ‘Make’ are not engraved on bearing surface thereby proving duplicate materials as same is followed reputed brand. Please note that your earlier supplied bearings under ‘FAG’ had such engraving with the numbers. Further alignment of the lining of the ball inside the bearing seems not proper which strengthens our doubt.
3) Excessive heat generation is measured on the bearing house by running the pump by only 2-3 hours and bearing due to such heat is getting broken in pieces thereby getting deformed from its original shape and ultimately getting seized with the pump shafts
After facing above problems we are compelled to use “SKF; bearing instead of ‘FAG’ bearing and finding satisfactory pump performance and not faced such type of bearing problem.
Further note please ‘FAG’ bearings which are of inferior quality have spread in markets through India. As a result of such inferior, defective and or duplicated product the usages of these for manufacturing of our pumps have resulted in abrupt failure at the time of commissioning and hence we are losing our reputation to our ultimate customer. Due to this our reputation and goodwill as well as your brand reputation are being spoiled to Customer and in market too.
Hence our earnest request to you to look into this issue on an urgent basis and do the needful.
