Kunwar Danish Ali is an Indian politician and a Member of Lok Sabha for Amroha since 2019. Ali joined Bahujan Samaj Party in March 2019 after leaving Janata Dal (Secular). He was the leader of Bahujan Samaj party in Lok Sabha from 6 November 2019 - 13 January 2020. He is a member of Consultative Committee for Ministry of Home Affairs since November 2019.
Ali started his political career with Janata Dal (Secular) and went on to become the general secretary of the party. On 16 March 2019, he joined Bahujan Samaj Party with the consent of Janata Dal (Secular) leader and Karnataka chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy. Six days later, Bahujan Samaj Party announced that Ali would contest the upcoming 2019 Indian general election from Amroha constituency.

AIR POLLUTION RESEARCH AND SOLUTION BY MIRZA M. ARIF
Status Report and Overview
Motivated by curiosity for the last 30 years, I have been inventing devices/machines and techniques to improve the prevailing technologies and processes. It is thus my honour to be awarded with the prestigious ‘National Meritorious Invention Award’ in 2004, by the Ministry of science and technology, Govt. Of India.
Air Pollution’s Harmful Effects:
The growing rate of Air Pollution in India which kills almost two million people every year in India has been recorded as the single most cause adversely impacting human health and the environment. Its consequences and future dangers are as detrimental as they threaten our very existence. Thus, I have concentrated on researching the causes of air pollution for the past seven years and devised a solution to combat it.
Air Pollution Causes
Based on this research, I have identified four areas of air pollution:
1. All diesel engines including Locomotive, Marine and DG sets.
2. All chimneys (from domestic kitchen to coal power plants)
3. Environmental Air (Soil, Ash, Stone Dust, Sand, Cement from construction sites, loading and unloading areas); Rubber/Nylon/Plastic (Polymer) Particles produced by the friction of vehicle tyres; and Teflon/Nylon, Copper and other metal particles produce by vehicles brake shoes.
4. Ambient indoor air particles produced by friction of shoes, residual fibers from the friction of clothes, pollution from kitchen.
These particles are the main causes of illness and deaths by air pollution.
Gases in Air Pollution:
In addition to deadly particles, some gases released in the air are also the causes of illness and death. Here not only CO2., SO2, NO2 and CO are plying the same role.
When we burn Solid fuels like firewood, charcoal or hard coal, the smoke produces maximum SO2. and NO2.
When we combust Liquid fuels like kerosene, petrol or specially Diesel, the emission produces maximum SO2. & CO.
The Environmental Air thus becomes “Polluted Air” created by the above particles and gases.
The Solution: POLRED
After consistently focusing my research on air pollution and seeking a solution, I invent a Multi-purpose Air Pollution and Heat Reducing Device, named “POLRED” that has proved to reduce air pollution, gases and particulate matter to a significant level.
I devised POLRED, the first device in the world to capture PM1 and PM2.5-1 along with PM2.5 and PM10.
POLRED is the first device in the world to capture major gases like CO, CO2, SO2 and NO2 from environmental air and also capture them in a stable form.
POLRED has four working models:
1. Floor Device (for indoor & outdoor)
2. Diesel Engine Device (for all type of diesel engines)
3. High End Diesel Engine Model (for 250 KVa Diesel Generator sets.)
4. Chimney Device (For all type chimneys, Kitchen to power plants)
The air flow rate of the Floor Device was measured and recorded that the prototype was releasing treated air at 760 lpm (liter per minute) or 1.1 million liters per day. The High-End device can release up to 3 to 4 times than that of the Floor Device.
After the device is attached to a diesel engine or a large chimney, the heat and noise was reduced to the level of more than 70%. Additionally, the device doesn’t put extra load on the engine/air blower.
Potential to Improvise:
The NPL report indicates that there is potential to improvise the efficiency of the device and its applications can be relevant for multiple sectors such as thermal power plants, plants with chimneys releasing smoke, fly ash and heat, automobiles and all kind of diesel engines and in ambient/polluted air conditions.
After testing POLRED extensively, it is clear that air pollution needs to be contained at the above mentioned and related venues to completely eliminate the fatal problem.
To control the air pollution for all the sources mentioned above, POLRED has been successfully invented, patented and laboratory tested by NPL-CSIR, patents granted in India, including USA, China, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, & Europe (38 countries)
Thus, to avert further sickness and deaths, POLRED must be used urgently to combat air pollution and its applications will also help to promote indigenous technology in the service serve of the nation.
