Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar is a Member of Parliament(MP) of Rajya Sabha for Andhra Pradesh. He has actively participated in the Jai Andhra Movement. He started his political journey with the Telugu Desam Party(TDP).
He was the Advocate for the Government of Andhra Pradesh for Inter-State River Water Disputes in Supreme Court from 2002-2004. He was elected as Member of Parliament(MP) to the Rajya Sabha in 2018. From 2018-2019, he worked as a Member of the House Committee.
He served as Member of the Committee on Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme(MPLADS) in 2018 and Member of Committee on External Affairs.From 2018-2019, he was appointed as a Member of the Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas. In 2019, He served as a Member of the Committee on Petitions and a Member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Home Affairs.
