Ajay Singh Deol better known by his stage name Sunny Deol, is an Indian film actor, director, producer, politician current member of parliament from Gurdaspur (Lok Sabha constituency) of Punjab State. Referred to as the Angry Man of Bollywood, he has won two National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards. Deol joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on 23 April 2019. He won the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections from Gurdaspur constituency against his rival Sunil Jakhar of Indian national Congress with a margin of 82,459 votes.
