Patna University saw its inception in the 1917 and was the first University of the Bihar State that was established during the British Raj. The University provides a platform of higher learning to students across the state and from neighboring places. Presently there are numerous colleges and institutions running under the gamut of college that covers various disciplines as in teaching, law, commerce, arts, medicine, engineering and many more.
As the academic activities surged the University provided a distance learning platform to students who are unable to access quality education. The University provides 3 years undergraduate courses and 2 years post graduate courses. The hostels of the University are designed in sync with modern facilities and amenities and ensures a motivating and peaceful ambiance.
