It is an Open University situated at Patna, the capital city of Bihar state of India and is the only educational institute that caters to distance educations and provides quality education to students in the state and neighboring places. It intends to deliver higher education platform to those who have deprived of formal education and effectively follows the norms of flexibility with respect of eligibility, admission and course structure.
The University today has 28 open centers in Bihar and other cities like Ranchi and Jamshedpur. The University saw its establishment in the year 1987 and is named after a famous Buddhist University, The Nalanda that was the pristine seat of education.
The University offers both undergraduate and post graduate degree and diploma courses. Besides it also doles out certificates of 6 or 9 months. Few of the important courses offered are Masters in Science, Geography, Botany, Mathematics, Computer Application, Economics, Hindi, History, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, Mass Communication, Yogic Studies and Disaster Management.

See every university has its own 3 land line number and in this pandemic everyone trying to stay in home and contact over phone to everyone .
