The “Kerala University of Health Sciences Act 2010” created the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). This was done to make sure that Modern Medicine, Homoeopathy, and Indian Systems of Medicine like Ayurveda, Siddha, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, and other allied sciences are taught, trained, and researched in a systematic way, and to make sure that all academic programs in medical and related subjects in Kerala are the same. The University is in Thrissur, which is in Kerala.
