Joint CSIR-UGC test is scheduled by CSIR on 21 Dec 2014 for selection of Indian National candidates for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and also for selection of Lecturers (NET) for faculty of Science & Technology for some subjects.

Placement of Junior Research Fellowship (NET) selected candidates will be based on candidate’s admission, university placement, national laboratory, organization of advanced learning and research etc.

The concluding result for Joint CSIR-UGC NET test for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship will be confirmed by CSIR.

Result of selected candidates will be available on CSIR HRDG website www.csirhrdg.res.in the form of list of Roll numbers.

An applicant can apply for JRF + Lectureship both or only for Lectureship (LS) which can be indicated by your preference in O.M.R. Application Form as per your selection. CSIR will consider the application of ‘JRF + LS’ and ‘Lectureship only’ on the basis of number of fellowships and result of test according to eligibility criterion. If any over-age candidate is found for JRF (NET) then he will be considered automatically for Lectureship (NET).

Separate merit list will be developed for qualifying candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF – NET) and lectureship (NET). The result will be based on performance in CSIR Test. JRF (NET) qualified candidates will be eligible for Lectureship (NET) also. Lectureship qualified candidates will be eligible for Lecturers and also for JRF-ship in Scheme/Project but would not be eligible for JRF-NET Fellowship. The Single MCQ test final result will be declared in the month of March or April 2015 and fellowship will be valid for 2 years effective from 1 Apr 2015.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for CSIR UGC NET EXAM DECEMBER 2014:

Educational Qualification

Candidate with the degree of 4 Years program BS/ B.Tech /BE/ MBBS/ B.Pharma/M.Sc /Integrated BS-MS or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks for general and OBC candidates and 50% for physically and visually Handicapped and SC/ST candidates.

Applicants who have enrolled for M.Sc or have completed 12th and around 3 years of any of the above qualifying examination can also apply for the post under the Result Awaited (RA) category. A condition would be applicable for such candidates that they would have to complete the qualifying degree with obligatory percentage within period of two years to get fellowship from scheduled date.

These applicants would have to submit an attestation certified by Head of the Institute from applicant is appearing.

B.Sc (Hons) with Integrated MS-PhD or equivalent degree students must possess minimum 55% marks for general category candidates and OBC category candidates, 50% marks for SC/ST category candidates, visually and physically handicapped candidates.

Age limit and Age relaxation For CSIR UGC NET Exam:

Age limit for the exam of JRF (NET) as on 1 July 2014 is max 28 years.

 5 years relaxation is given on upper age for physically handicapped, female applicants, visually handicapped and SC/ST/OBC candidates.

No upper age linit is applicable in case of Lectureship
