The college was established in 1971 as a constituent college of University of Delhi. It runs various medical and paramedical courses. Paramedical courses include BSc (Medical Technology), Radiotheraphy, Diploma in Nursing etc. It offers M.B.B.S, M.D/M.S course as well. It caters to the health care needs of the people.College has Meritorious/Eminent Faculty on expert groups of UNICEF, WHO, UNAIDS, World Bank, ICMR, ICMR, NACO, DST and CSIR. This college caters to the health care needs for the East Delhi community and surrounding border areas. This college has excellent results in past and students excel in curricular/extracurricular activities.
