Rajendra Agricultural University is a renowned University of Bihar and was established in the year 1970. There are 26 agricultural universities in India and it is one of them situated in Pusa Bazaar and Samastipur District of Bihar.The Agricultural University was recognized originally as India’s primary imperial Agriculture research institute in 1903. The University was established to meet the educational requirements of students of the state and from the neighboring places. There are many colleges under the gamut of the University that brilliantly caters to the modern academic requirements of students.
The University has five major disciplines as in Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Agriculture Engineering, Basic Sciences, Home Sciences and Humanities. It also comprises important disciplines as in fisheries and dairy technology.
The University offers six undergraduate programs and approximately thirty three post graduate programs. Besides it also have eighteen Ph.D courses and is the only University that provides MBA in Agribusiness program. It provides affiliation to colleges as Trihut College of agriculture, college of agriculture engineering, college of home science, college of basic sciences and humanities and college of fisheries.
