Hi, everything with my laptop is going smoothly untill I decided to shift to Ubuntu 14.04 os from windows 8.1. I'm a beginner in Ubuntu except I had an experience of handling on my friends computer. my hard drive is a 1 TB hard drive with three partitions. I thought of replacing one of my partition with encrypted os. I checked it in the installation setup. But even before the complete installation could start, I was prompted that it is going to effect my entire hard drive ( just now I realised how blunder i would have committed if I was to proceed. My entire personal data is in another two drives) thanking the Ubuntu for its forward thinking, I aborted the installation and wanted not to install. But the damage is already done. My lappy doesn't recognise my hard drive in boot settings. Seems my hard drive is encrypted before the actual installation could even start. I want my personal data to be resumed and running. Could you help me with the process.
