Good Morning!
I would like to highlight a shameful act of your following Bank officials of PNB Bank, B.O APJ School, Hotel Park Lane, Bhagwan Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar (Branch code:511710)
1. Mr. Narender Jassi: Senior Branch Manager
2. Mrs. Prabjot: PNB Bank Staff
My Mother Mrs. Shashi Jairath have a savings account in this branch since more than 30 years was working in Apeejay School Jalandhar and has been saving her money in the form of Fixed Deposits. In total she made 26 Fixed Deposits in this branch.
She has this account as a joint account with her daughter (Either or Survivor) Mrs. Volina Aneja.
Mrs. Shashi Jairath is suffering from Cancer of 4th Stage and is undergoing treatment in Fortis hospital Bannerghatta Road Bangalore.
Instance happened on 27th October 2023:
A request letter duly signed by her along with her KYC was submitted to Bangalore Mahadevapura Branch for the re-activation of the account and transfer of the account from Jalandhar to Bangalore.
Your Mahadevapura Branch gave an excellent support and immediately sent a request letter to the above Jalandhar Branch (Email enclosed for your reference)
When I personally called the Jalandhar Branch to consider the medical emergency and help for the activation and transfer of account then your Jalandhar Branch staff Mrs. Prabjot told me “The email that has come to PNB-Jalandhar Branch from PNB Bangalore branch is a fake email and they cannot process it because the Branch manager name is not there in the email.”
Really a shame that your one branch does not rely on the other branch emails.
To this your Bangalore branch sent another email with complete details. Then to that your Jalandhar Branch staff Mrs. Prabjot said “it is already 3.PM now and I have many other activities to be done so I can not activate the account today. I will do it tomorrow i.e., on 28th October 2023.I told her the medical emergency of the mother on Ventilator in Fortis Hospital to that she simply denied.
Instance of 28th October 2023
Morning around 10.30AM I personally called Jalandhar Branch requesting PNB Staff-Mrs. Prabjot to complete the activation of the account and transfer to Bangalore Branch to this your Jalandhar Branch Staff Mrs. Prabjot said that she will activate the account on 28th October 2023 but will transfer the account only on 30th October 2023. I told her that it is a medical emergency as we need money for Mrs. Jairath’s treatment but she simply denied.
I told her that please consider this as a request of medical emergency and when I told her to understand the concern for mother she very shamefully replied “SIR MY PARENTS ARE ALREADY DEAD”.
Under no circumstances she activated the account on 28th October 2023
Instance of 30th October 2023:
Morning around 10.30AM I again called the Jalandhar branch than the Jalandhar Branch staff Mrs. Prabjot told that “Sorry Sir today Mr. Narender Jassi is in Delhi so I can only transfer the account to Bangalore Branch and not the Fixed Deposits”.
I personally called Mr. Narinder Jassi 3-4 times on his mobile phone on 30th October and told him to ask his staff to transfer the Fixed Deposits to Bangalore Branch.
On repeated request considering mercy than your office staff of Jalandhar transferred only Two Fixed deposits to Bangalore Branch.
On 30th October 2023 your Bangalore branch has sent 3 reminders and a personal phone call was done by the branch manager of Bangalore branch to Jalandhar branch. In spite of that your Jalandhar branch has not transferred all the Fixed Deposits
Instance on 31st October 2023
Again, I called Mr. Narinder Jassi the chief Manager of Jalandhar Branch. He responded to call around 12.00 PM as before that his phone was going no response.
Instead of transferring the balance 24 Fixed deposits to Bangalore branch; He sent an email to Bangalore Branch asking for the due diligence report and attested copy of the letter to be signed by Mrs. Shashi Jairath.
Really a big shame for Mr. Narender Jassi and Mrs. Prabjot of Jalandhar Branch. They both were knowing that Mrs. Shashi Jairath is on Ventilator then how they expect a patient on the Ventilator will sign the document. When I asked this question to Mr. Narender Jassi he replied “ I definitely need the signatures of Mrs. Shashi Jairath else I will not transfer”.
Also the joint account holder Mrs. Volina Aneja called Mrs. Narinder Jassi asking him that she can sign what ever document he wants but Mr. Narinder Jassi said “Madam you may be a joint account holder – Either or Survivor but I need signature of Mrs. Jairath only”.
Its really a shame that PNB Staff has absolutely no humanity towards their customers even my mother is your customer for more than 30 years and keeping her whole life savings trusting your bank but if this is the reward it comes in return than its really shameful
I really appreciate the efforts of PNB Bangalore branch that they answered all the points of your Jalandhar branch and sent a strong letter to them requesting to transfer the Fixed deposits immediately. I am enclosing the email of Mahadevpura branch. Highly appreciated.
Even after this email of Bangalore branch your Jalandhar branch took two hrs to transfer the Fixed Deposits.
Really a shame that to transfer own money from one branch of PNB to another branch of PNB it took five days that too in the case of extreme medical emergency and more shameful is that your senior Manager knowing Mrs. Shashi Jairath is on Ventilator; is demanding that she needs to sign then only he will transfer the Fixed Deposits. He already had the signed papers from Mrs. Shashi Jairath and Mrs. Volina Aneja ( either or survivor account holders) with the KYC also duly signed but still he wanted again another signed letter only from Mrs. Shashi Jairath knowing she is on Ventilator.
Really request that your staff should be first humans than the bankers
At least humanity is what we Indians are proud of that really expected from your Senior Managers and staff.
