JNTU is a technical university that was originally known as “The College of Engineering”. The college was located at Vizagpatnam when it was established in 1946. The college campus sprawls over 110 acres of land with lush and peaceful ambiance in the fast developing port city of Kalinda.Kalinda is famous for its rich and political literacy. The cultural heritage of the place for generations now has become the profound attraction. The college is governed by rules and regulation provided by the university from time to time and offers great opportunity to students who aspire to pursue a degree in technical education.
Entire campus has different blocks and department. Each department work in sync with each other and facilitate comprehensive assistance to students. The university has team of experienced faculties who guide students in completion of their degree. Earlier the college was affiliated to Andhra University but later in the year 2003 it become autonomous.
The entire academic activities are managed by the highest body called College Academic Council. Also the entire administrative activity is managed by the highest body of College Governing Council that is headed by the Vice Chancellor of the University. The college offers technical education in five departments as in Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics.
