Adverse Impacts of Article 370
Article 370 was a “Temporary and Transitional” provision of the Constitution. It made J&K a closed-door economy, helping politicians and separatists become stronger in the state.
Article 370 bestowed Jammu & Kashmir with a parallel constitution with the word minorities not mentioned anywhere in it. This left the minorities of the state with no special protection.
A person from any other State of India could not buy land or property in Kashmir as per the provisions of Article 35A.
