Adverse Impacts of Article 370
Article 370 was a “Temporary and Transitional” provision of the Constitution. It made J&K a closed-door economy, helping politicians and separatists become stronger in the state.

Article 370 bestowed Jammu & Kashmir with a parallel constitution with the word minorities not mentioned anywhere in it. This left the minorities of the state with no special protection.
A person from any other State of India could not buy land or property in Kashmir as per the provisions of Article 35A.
Those Kashmiri women who married non-Kashmiri men would lose their inheritance rights in Kashmir as per Article 35A.
Those Dalits who were brought in from Punjab as government sweepers in 1957 could not get any government jobs other than sweepers.
