Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) is a new scheme based upon government-backed Life insurance in India Launched by Prime minister Mr Narendra Modi .
PMJJBY is basically a term life insurance policy that can be renewed either on a yearly basis or for a longer period of time. It will provide life insurance coverage on the death of the policyholder and the nominee must have a bank ac.

I want to open pm jivan jyoti yojna. I came to know from my friend that this facility is still available in 2017 january in central bank and sbi bank but some bank such as pnb bank and allahabad bank refused to do so. so i request you to pls provide me the reason behind this.

As my father N.KUMARESAN exired on date 04/06/2017 .I claimed for policy settlement from Andhra Bank branch Rudrampur,Khammam Dist. Though still yet not received any response from bank or from PMJBY department.
As earlier bank officals said claim for the process payment will settle in couple of months , last month that informed me that it is not applicable for the claim.
