Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) was established in the year 1949 in the Steel City of Jamshedpur by Fr. Quinn Enright. To renew the face of the earth, he visualized the institute to play a vital role in the growth and development of India. To make it happen, later Fr. Bill Tome joined hands with him and started planning to fulfil the vision or the objectives of the institute.
Since after its inception, XLRI with excellence has created its own identity. The history of the institute showcases its pioneering spirit and success throughout its journey. It is recognized as leading and oldest B-school in the country offering excellent management studies.
