Hello
I bought 4 brand new Pirelli tyres in the first week of August in Pune for my BMW 320d (225/R16/55/95W-Runflat)
I found that the tyres are heavier and the response is slower than my Bridgestone tyres, which came with the car.
Subsequently I was horrified to find out, from the BMW forum, that there have been 3 cases, recently, of Pirelli tyres bursting/ sidewall split. Photos of a BMW X1 are with me. The Pirelli Cinturato P 7s I have have done 500kms. These tyres don’t even show the country of manufacture.
I have now bought Bridgestone Turanzas which are made in Poland and sold by BMW. These tyres feel lighter and more responsive.
BMW do not recommend the Pirelli tyres anymore
I purchased the Pirelli tyres for
Rs 55000/-, bill present.
