Hi, we booked a bathroom cleaner for Friday 27, as our family was coming on new year eve. The professional came and during cleaning he broke the toilet handle which he admitted. We initially didn’t checked every nook and corner and raised a request to urbanclap regarding the damage. The cc person asked us to raise a request for coming weekend, which we had to decline as we had plans for the weekends. Urban clap then mentioned that they will borne the cost of repair. After that we saw the basin also to be leaking, based on initial conversation we trusted the urbanclap that we can raise a request for next weekend and mention the basin damage. To our utter disappointment urbanclap declined to reimburse for the washbasin repair, even though we called urbanclap for the same. And they gave a stupid excuse of not notifying just after bathroom cleaning we will have to pay the 1700 amount from our own pocket. When we checked the professional feedback he has already broken washbasin pipes, fan in other houses. Seems like urbanclap sends their person to experiment and learn in our houses, as if we are the Guinea pigs. To top that when We added the review and rating, the same is not showing up in their app. I am really utterly disappointed and frustrated to see this kind of business model. Where we pay for cleaning and end up paying 10 times for damage after cleaning.

It is sad as I booked a service on Aug 08, 2020 for bathroom deep cleaning. The same was confirmed. However, I got a call that they do not have professional to come and when I Said I have confirmation they customer service said they will try. the service was for same day 7:30 PM. However, no back call received. I again put in the query on the app and got a call at 8 pm for the service which was to be done on 7:30 pm. they said nothing was worked out and can do in morning on Sunday (next day), I told them I already have 2 other services from them the next day one starting at 9 am and other around 4. So, They could do anytime from 10 am to 11:30 am. However, they again called back after 5-10 min and said it cannot be done.
The best is that there is no facility to provide feedback to UC on their app for THEIR POOR Performance. You only rate once service is over, however, if they cancel, then you cannot rate anywhere. Very smart, but poor thinking as the word of mouth is enough advertisement.
