    I've been a customer of Ford Family since May 2018 before that I was always the happy customer of Maruti (customer centric company).

    Since 2017 I was searching for a car and then I checked Ford freestyle (which was a little over budget but still I tried to arrange finance to buy this).

    Finally In May 2018 with God’s Grace after lot of hard work and arrangement I purchased this vehicle. My vehicle no (DL8CAU4625) is registered on my father’s Name Mr. Kuldeep Kumar Bhardwaj and its V.I.N no is MAJGXXMTKGJJ68325.

    On 16th September 2020,

    This is the first time I got some major fault in my car (my assumption) as my car stopped in the middle of the road and did not start at all.

    This was shocking and felt helpless as I was in the middle of the busy road but fortunately I was very near to my house and few friends joined me soon at the incident location. In addition to that after a few trials the car started and fortunately I was able to get it home by driving myself , at this time it seems the car was working fine again (lights + AC+ audio display screen + power windows + clutch + break + auto start {all was working fine}).



    I reached home and slept (as it was late already), kept in mind that I need to visit Ford service center tomorrow (17th September 2020) as I called Hemkund Ford (Wazirpur Industrial Area in Delhi )(this all made on 16th September 2020 evening) and they asked me to visit them next day .

    On 17th September 2020

    I tried to start my car in the morning but it was not responding at all, only the power supply of the car like( lights + AC+ audio display screen + power windows) was working but the self-start was not responding again (like the previous day evening).

    I was worried again as it was a working day morning and none of my friends were available and at my home I have senior citizens along with my wife (who does not know driving) & 2 year old son.

    I was more worried due to this pandemic I couldn’t call local technician and this car is the only source of travelling in emergency as well as normal daily routine.

    So I checked my insurance and find out that I have towing facility, so I called up towing team, towed my car and reached Hemkund Ford (Wazirpur Industrial Area in Delhi).

    From here my journey started for being Devastated, counsel, poor customer service (the list is big)

    So at Hemkund Ford (Wazirpur Industrial Area in Delhi) the first person I met was Mr. Shyam (8130806962), He checked my vehicle and it was same as I mentioned earlier that only the power supply was working like( lights + AC+ audio display screen + power windows ) but the self-start was not responding at service center as well .

    So, Mr. Shyam without initial examine I was been advised need to wait at lounge area for at least two hours , so they will examine the car and let me know the fault in the car .

    I kept quiet as I was empty hand, called my office for leave (as I was requested to wait).

    After two hours approx. it could be more of my waiting in there lounge, the team went for the lunch and I was still waiting for the response from them.

    Post lunch, there was no information from team, I went to the technician (Mr. Sumit Kumar Sharma) and was been advised by him to leave my car as they need more time to find out the fault in the car (No time frame given how much time required ).

    I was upset because I wasted almost half of the day there (+ 1 day salary due to unplanned leave) and I got information only after when I approached the technician.

    Here I want to highlight that I was in the branded service center not in the local car repair market.

    After this I started my follow up regularly with the service center (there was not even a single follow up or information call from the service center).

    After 7 days (24th September 2020) and several follow up I got information from Mr. Shyam finally and was been advised that they have identified the problem named as fuel relay.

    I was advised that they will fix it and they will deliver my car by 26th September 2020 or 27th September 2020.

    Now here I want to highlight some important points in this conversation.

    · First I was been advised by Mr. Shaym that they have changed the defective part temporarily (he casually told that they have arranged it from some other car, in the service center) and car is working fine by changing that part.



    · Secondly Mr. Shaym told me on the same call that the car has successfully been test driven by the service center more than 50 km and it is working perfectly fine.



    · Third While driving the car (test drive) they found out that break pad of the car are not fine and they asked me to get it changed and I approved it as I thought they have full knowledge and if they asking to change something I should get it changed apart from that they said my car is all working fine along with all gadgets.

    All was fine till now and I was super happy to get my car picked up as soon I will received communication from team for pickup (was more happy because this all expenses was covered in my additional warranty period)

    On 27th September 2020,

    Mr. Shyam called me and asked me to pick-up the car.

    I visited Hemkund Ford (Wazirpur Industrial Area in Delhi).

    Mr. Shyam happily told me that my car is working fine now and I can check and take test drive as well before final billing, I sat in my car and pressed the push button and this was that moment the smile from my face was all vanish.

    Mr. Shyam was standing there and looking at me and I was devastated as the Audio Display Screen was not working.

    I showed Mr. Shyam Audio Display Screen and discussed the issue and told him that why this has happen (he was clue less), informed the same to Mr. Shantanu (General Manager) as well and then they both told me this might be software issue, so they will check it. They asked me to final the billing meanwhile to will repair that Audio Display Screen.

    They both were confident about the Audio Display Screen issue is due to software , so I trusted them again and went for billing and paid Rs. 2098/-.

    After billing was done I was asked to wait again as they were checking the software and updating it.

    I waited again for more than an hour and was asked to leave for the day as they need more time to examine this issue.

    Now here I want to understand for the higher authorities that what they checked earlier when they asked me to take my car stating its working fine.

    They checked, the car was test driven as well for good number of KM, they noticed break pad issue which they informed but they never mentioned anything about Audio Display screen and nothing mentioned in my Job card as well .

    I wasted my day again (27th September 2020) (and came back empty handed as Mr. Shantanu convinced me that I should leave the vehicle with them to examine this Audio Display Screen fault

    For next three days (28th -29th -30th September) I was the one who was calling and chasing these people (through phone) to get information about my car and there was no fruitful or satisfactory response from them.

    On 1st October 2020,

    I got call from Mr. Shyam and he asked me to visit them,

    I took emergency leave again (which cause me unpaid leave for that day) and went there.

    There was a meeting setup (for giving me fake/wrong/untrustworthy details) with Mr. Shantanu & Mr. Shyam and they informed me that they are sending the Audio Display Screen to Chennai for repair (as they were not able to repair it locally (Delhi)).

    I discussed with them (Mr. Shantanu and Mr. Shaym) I will not pay for this Audio Display Screen fault and they agreed and said this will come under Warranty.

    They assured me this over the WhatsApp message as well (if required I can show it as proof).

    After this on 1st October 2020 (same day) I was handed over my car without Audio Display Screen.

    From 1st October 2020 on daily basis I was calling and asking for the details of procedure and progress but no satisfactory answer and not even a single call from the team to me in regards of the information or follow up (Is this the way they treat their customers and this much importance they give to us and our issues)

    After 7 days of regular/multiple follow up , finally on 8th Oct 2020 I was been advised and that too on my follow-up call that today (8th October 2020) my screen is now finally sent Chennai for repair .

    No standard time frame given, no procedure information, no follow up, not even showed courtesy that a customer is so worried and tensed about his product and how we are treating the customer.

    From 8th October 2020 to 28th October 2020 no communication from them, and then I received finally the first communication from Hemkund Ford team on 29th October 2020 (this is after I raised compliant in customer care for this outstanding behavior from branded company (FORD))



    I was bit ok that finally I received call (after raising complaint) but my small happiness again vanished when they (Hemkund Ford team) now asked for something new and which I never expected.

    This time, they sent me the screen shot for estimated cost of the screen and asked me to pay that (Rs 5320/- estimate amount came from Ford India (Repair Centre)).

    I was blank, surprised, shocked and felt robbed off after reading communication from Mr. Shyam.

    Since my car sent for repair not even a single time I was advised or even not got a single hint that I need to pay anything for this, along with that I bear this pathetic services in the name of Customer Care.

    I understand that ford is a big brand and I might be showing as small car customer (which might not very costly car for the company but for me when I bought this car I waited for more than two years to arrange money to buy this car), it was a dream car for me, but my all dreams are shattered the way I been mistreated, misinformed and felt robbed off.

    It’s not only one time but several time I was mistreated that I was forced to feel that small car customer does not have any value for the company, so company (ford) can treat us the way they want.

    A single (small car customer) might not be a major value for Ford (this my thought after my experience) but I am sure a small customer like me can make a major impact with my views for the company.

    I am so traumatized by this experience of misinformation and mistreatment that finally I thought to raise my concern to that highest authorized, so I will get full justice and people like me will not lose trust in the company (Ford).
