R-Wallet is closed wallet of Indian Railways. Currently, it will be used to buy suburban tickets in Mumbai and Chennai suburban section .Being a closed wallet, all the rules of RBI for Closed Wallet will apply to this wallet also.

The R-Wallet with zero-balance will be created without any additional cost upon Successful Registration by the passenger. The minimum recharge value is Rs.100 and multiples of Rs.100 which can grow upto Rs.5000.The maximum stored-value amount in this R-Wallet is Rs.5000.

How to Recharge R-Wallet?
R-Wallet will be issued with zero balance to all the users upon successful registration in the system either through utsonmobile mobile apps or website (https://www.utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in). The user can recharge their R-Wallet at the UTS counters available in the Suburban Railway Stations or through the website (https://www.utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in).
In case of R-Wallet recharge through the website, there will be an additional PG charges plus service tax. The service tax is applicable as per the extant policy, Govt. of India.

How to check the R-Wallet balance?
The user can check the balance of R-Wallet either in the UTS mobile apps or in the website (https://www.utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in).

How to Surrender/close my R-Wallet?
The passenger has to initiate the surrender R-Wallet request from the mobile app and he/she will get a secret code as SMS. The passenger has to go to the suburban Railway Station and show the secret code to the booking operator and get the cash refund after deducting the clerkage amount. However, the surrender policy will change time to time.

How to Block my R-Wallet?
The user is allowed to block the usage of R-Wallet through Helpline number (listed below) by giving user credentials. Once, it is blocked, then they cannot reuse it and no cash refund will be given for the left out money available in their R-Wallet.

How to revert a Wallet Surrender request?
If you have mistakenly surrendered your wallet and again want to use it, then you can call the customer care number for your city and request for the same. However once refund has been collected from the railway counter no further reversion will be possible.

How to change the mobile handset?
One can change the handset once in three months. The steps to change the mobile handset is as follows:
1. The passenger has to initiate the change handset (IMEI) request from the existing mobile number.
2. The passenger can Download the app in the new mobile device.
3. The passenger login to the application using their credential.
4. The passenger will use the sync ticket option to re-sync the ticket to the new mobile.
5. All the ticket will be bound to the new mobile handset.
In case passenger is not having any valid tickets, then change handset request may be initiated from the website https://www.utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in

    I have made one transaction of Rs.600 through bhim upi on 2nd Feb, 2018 at 13:56:54 hrs to recharge my UTS Rwallet (transaction no 803313994369). The above said amount was debited from my saving bank account, but the amount was not being credited in my Rwallet. So, I request you to kindly look into the matter and take necessary steps so that I can get my money back as soon as possible.

    Sir/Madam,
    I am Siddhartha Barman,your UTS app user since 2016. Previously I used mobile no 8486023362 as r wallet which was an aircel connection. Now the operator has stopped all of their service and connection. So I tried to use my present connection no 9831566062 in the same handset. But your app doesn't allow me to use the new no as because of same IMEI no. I mailed you twice on 4th april'2018 & 6th april'2018 in id utsconsolekol@gmail.com, but do not get any response till now. I called in no 138 Several time from my new no 9831566062 but no one there to receive it . Now I have to face counter queue on regular basis which is very irritating for an UTS user.
    So, I request you to kindly look at the matter and allow me to use my new connection 9831566062 instead of old one 8486023362 in same handset at the earliest.

    My name is Amol Jaiswal from Thane and my UTS id is 9820115109. on 09/07/2018 I tried to Re-charge for Railway wallet money two times. My amount is deducted from my bank accounts but its failed at UTS id.
    1st transaction I tried through internet banking and I received following transaction remark
    BIL/001488519649/PGMIB-/22444_ZP5707A50 and amount is Rs 306.37
    2nd transaction I tried through debit card and I received following transaction remark
    VIN/HTTPS WWWI/20180708160206/0 and amount is Rs 400

    Kindly credit my money to my bank as early as possible.
